Well after some tears from mom and I we left Carman, Manitoba at 11am sharp with Craig in the driver seat and myself as the co-pilot. Before we even got to Elm Creek Mocha decided to use her litter box for a number 2 - stinky!!! We drove to Portage la Prairie for a Timmies break and off we went with a coffee and ice cap in hand.
Russell, Manitoba was our next stop at 3pm for a late lunch of Subway, fed the Edge with gas and a pee break for the dogs and us. Once we hit the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border we switched places and I drove to Saskatoon non-stop, in the heavy rain as per usual. I have driven this route many times heading to the U of S with one of the dogs in rain.
Mocha was VERY good in the truck staying in the dog's taken apart, upside down kennels. We put a litter box and her bed in the open kennel and she stayed in there the whole trip. The dogs were also very good but I expected nothing less from them as they love going into the Edge.
No rush tomorrow to get onto the road as it is only a 5 hour drive to Edmonton. So after we stuff our faces with pizza & gatorade tonight we will relax with the dogs and cat.
A new era begins! Looks like the hotel likes animals!
ReplyDeleteGonna take a while for Yvonne to get used to this.. Hell we are not used to it yet, but at least we have the internet...
We'll be watching every day. I have not restarted my blog. Somehow, that did not seem appropriate... But Ken's appears on the mend, so if we go out, I may fire the blog up again...
