"It's OK I have a 4 x 4"

Saturday is a 'girls' day as our husbands usually work this day, I was invited to hang out with Sheila and Marg.  After coffee/tea, cookies and hawkins cheezies off we went to tour the tundra in Marg's new 4 x 4 Ford truck.  Marg was fierce as she went over many bumps, ditches and hills, all she kept on saying was "It's OK I have a 4 x 4".  In the end she did great and Sheila and I didn't have to get out to push.  We ended up at Augusta Hill where I took many pictures of the amazing scenery.  On the way back into town we stopped off at The Japanese Monument.  It is a monument in memory of 3 young university students from Japan who lost their lives kayaking on the Arctic Ocean in 1970.

Once home Craig & I had a couple of hours to make dinner, eat and get ready to spend the evening celebrating Kate's 50th Birthday.  Oh yes the boys celebrated more than the birthday girl.  We had a great time as the boys played music and sang and the ladies sat around and talked to get to know each other better.

Today was a quiet day as Craig was suffering from all the celebrations.  We puttered around the house cleaning up some of the scattered garbage and moving boxes, after 2 trips to the dump the backyard is cleared for the dogs.  Tonight we watched the season premier of The Amazing Race!!!  So glad it is back on.

Tomorrow I will start on the office, taking down shelves, patching holes and ripping off the wallpaper.
