Last stop in Alberta

After an 8 1/2 hour drive today we made it to our last stop in Alberta, High Level.  Just north of Edmonton we were surprised by the beauty of the land.  Forests that we couldn't see the end of, rolling hills and some crazy curves and drops in the road.  We didn't see any bear or moose but alot of signs indicating their presence.  We did see deer and a bald eagle eating some carcass on the side of the road.

It was hard to pick some pictures for the blog tonight as the scenery was unbelievable.  All of the pictures were taken while driving and I was surprised that most of them turned out.  It was hard to stop and take pictures as most of the road did not allow room for this.  We noticed that the fall colours come earlier in Northern Alberta so we did not have any problems finding a perfect spot to photograph.

The dogs and cat are doing great and again we have a king size bed at the Super 8 in High Level so they are all relaxing on it.  Isn't this why we pay more to have pets in a hotel room??  Tomorrow we will make the long drive to Yellowknife, NWT for now we will get some much needed hot food in our tummies and some rest.
