Well before I get into the fun stuff I thought I'd tell you about the crappy stuff first, you know get it out of the way. I'm going to go back a bit to about 2 weeks ago when I had enough of the pain in my ankle and went to the Health Centre. It's the same ankle that I broke and had ligament damage last year and it's been bothering me for a few months. Yes I said months. X-rays were taken and because we do not have a radiologist up here the x-rays were sent to Yellowknife. Now to make a long story short the doctor up here received the report back and Yellowknife suggests that I have a CT scan done, see an orthopedic doctor and possible surgery as it looks like one of the bone chips have migrated into the joint area....hence the grief this ankle has been giving me. The doctor here also wrote up a prescription for an air cast which arrived this week. I am supposed to wear this until I have my appointment in Yellowknife. Will keep you all posted.
Our little foster puppy Sam flew out on Monday and Blitz was very sad and depressed for a few days after. He is so good with other dogs and he just loves puppies. This week also brought in loads of mail as we had one day of planes arriving last week (due to weather). Besides normal mail stuff the dogs received some new beds. Molly is very happy with her new cozy cave bed and Hannah got a new memory foam bed, both from Drs. Foster and Smith.
Now the fun stuff! Today I headed out with the dogs and the Nikon. We spent the whole afternoon outside as the temperature was sitting around -2'c today, no sun but it was a beautiful day. All the dogs played ball, hunted and just romped and tonight I have three very tired ones. Only one 'accident' while out, Blitz re-injured his paw again. A few months ago he tore his webbing, was on antibiotics for 21 days and EMT gel and it was all healed up, well so we thought. Today he ran to me limping and bleeding, poor thing tore that webbing again. ARGGGG! So tonight he is all bandaged up and we'll see what it looks like tomorrow morning.
