Hello Sunshine State

After a full day of flying yesterday we arrived in Florida about 12:30am.  The plane went mechanical in Chicago and we had to switch planes but we were not worried about our connection in Charlotte as we had a 3 hour layover there.  Other passengers on the other hand had 1 minute to get to their connection for Ft. Lauderdale, thankfully the plane waited for them.  As for us we grabbed a hot meal at Chili's in Charlotte and our waiter asked us where we were from, we told them the Arctic and he laughed.  He then said no really where are you folks from and we again replied the Arctic.  He just couldn't wrap his head around it, quite funny.

I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow last night (or should I say this morning).  Very long day of travel but it's worth it to be here with family.  Don't know what kind of plans we have for today, need to do a bit of grocery shopping and liquor shopping but other than that who knows.

Before we left we had an appointment with the vet for the dog's annual check-ups.  Blitz of course is healthy as an ox and Hannah is doing good for an older girl.  We had some concerns with Molly as lately we can not fill her up with her food and her coughing has increased.  They did some blood work and her white blood cell count is fairly low.  She also had an x-ray of her chest as her vet detected a heart murmur.  There is definitely some changes in her lungs due to the bronchitis.  We will repeat the blood in a week to see if there are any changes and she may go on antibiotics.  As for her heart murmur we will keep an eye on her and if they are changes in her exercise/breathing I will bring her back to Winnipeg for an ultra sound. I was a little upset (ok alot) that things have changed for her but she is in good hands with her vet.

We also went back to Steeltown Ford in Selkirk to see if they would like to buy back our Edge and they have agreed.  Yippeee!  One less thing to worry about.  As mentioned before we will not be down south as often as previously thought so the Edge would just sit for months and we pay the insurance.  We would of liked to sell it privately but due to the lack of time we have we thought we would go back to the dealership.

That's about it for now, today's pictures are from this morning.

Talk soon!
