Well we made it to Edmonton last night safe and sound. Blitz didn't have a good flight this time, was very upset. We had a bit of a layover in Yellowknife where the dogs had to go through security and it was then when we first heard Blitz barking...we were on the other side of the airport. Don't know why he was so upset this time. Even when we arrived in Edmonton, waiting for our luggage and the dogs we could hear him barking then too. He settled down very quickly once we took him off the conveyor belt at Edmonton, I guess he knew this was our final destination. Don't know who was upset more him or I. As for the other two, well Molly was sedated. I didn't give her a full pill this time, only half and she seemed to do just fine with that. I don't like sedating her but this is the only choice as she gets very anxious when flying, I guess just like some people. Hannah was relaxing as always, seen them go by on the cart in Yellowknife and she had her legs crossed looking around.
Craig had a bit of trouble with the Edge when he picked it up from Park 'n Fly. I guess having it sit there since November not plugged in it needed a little wake me up. He could not talk enough about the excellent service he received from them, the driver waited for Craig to start the truck and when it didn't he was there to give him a boost at no charge. We were expecting to pay well over $400.00 for parking but it was less than $300.00 with the coupon we had.
Today we need to pick up some dog food from a vet clinic as I only brought enough for last night and this morning. We just may head over to Ikea and do a little more shopping. Tonight we will phone my brother Mike, who lives in Edmonton to make arrangements for him to hang out with us this week. We will need to call my other brother Bob to see if they still would like to come up from Airdrie to visit us this Saturday. Since moving to Cambridge Bay I have seen my brothers more than when we lived in Manitoba...funny.
It will be great to see our friends and family in Manitoba and will miss our friends in Cambridge Bay. Of course we will miss our cat Mocha but we know she is in good hands with Jim & Sheila. We are sad that we are not going to Aruba with our friends Sandy and Keith this year, it would have been a great trip as we would have visited with Petra, Frank and their dog Magic there as well. BUT we will get to see all of Craig's family in Florida instead. We always have a great time in Florida and this year will be no exception.
