Finally...

Well I finally figured out this Blog thing with the help from Craig.  We have been busy saying Good-byes to our friends and family.  Feeling sadness and excitement all at the same time.  The dogs and I have been gypsies for the past couple of weeks as all of our belongings have been shipped to the Arctic.  Our stuff is in Yellowknife waiting to be shipped to Cambridge Bay, all I wish for is our bed and pots & pans to be shipped before our arrival.  Life has been kinda hectic getting everything tied up here in Manitoba and with getting things organized in Nunavut.

Craig arrived home this past Thursday, we drove out to Carman spent the night, back into Winnipeg for haircuts, drinks, dinner and good-byes to our long time friends Mike and Donna, drove out to Lac du Bonnet for the evening and then back to Winnipeg.  Checked on the old house and cut the grass for the last time before heading over to Daryn & Jennifer's home where they hosted a going away party for us.  Good-byes to our friends, The Medwids, Craig and the boys, Sandy & Keith and Trish & Rod.  Very good eats including the fantastic desserts of Smoo and chocolate chocolate cake, drinks and company.

Mocha our cat is still at the house on Oakfield waiting for us to pick her up on Tuesday as we head to my mom's in Carman.  We arrived in Lac du Bonnet yesterday to spent a couple of days with Craig's parents and his sister and her family.  Laura, Craig's sister and the rest of the boys had a bonfire last night while Nana and I played Scrabble and Rummy, our two favorite games. We may have to figure out a way how to play on-line with each other.

We will pack our things tomorrow as we head to Carman to spend the last couple of days with my mom before heading out on Thursday morning.  We will drive to Saskatoon the first night then off to spend the weekend with my brothers in Alberta.  We will drive as far as Yellowknife where we will store the Edge and fly to Cambridge Bay from there.  We decided since the pets have never been on a plane before we will make the short 1 1/2 hour flight instead of all day flying from Winnipeg.

I have internet access here in Lac du Bonnet but will not have any in Carman so the next post after we leave here will be in Saskatoon (hopefully).
